With 2013 quickly coming to a close, I find myself reflecting on twelve months of change. So many wonderful things changed within my personal life, but today I'm going to focus on the changes within my business. In 2013, our franchise changed its name from Stroller Strides to Fit4Mom. This sweeping change has opened up many opportunities for moms to grow their businesses! With a name like Stroller Strides, it implies that we lead classes only for moms with stroller aged children, when in fact we were also offering Fit4Baby prenatal classes, LEAN nutrition classes and Body Back classes for moms of any age. Fit4Mom really encompasses all that we are: We offer fitness programs for all stages of motherhood!
2013 also saw the addition of automated registration and billing within one system, freeing up valuable time for other aspects of owning a business, like marketing and building relationships within the community. Fit4Mom has a brand new logo, with leaves to represent the different programs we offer. We have new systems for resource sharing, offering support to our franchisees, and a new vendor for our printed materials! Whew! That's a lot of change in one year!
Locally, I began teaching all of our classes in June. It was a real game changer for me. I always knew how great our classes were, but to see them grow over the summer, when we typically experience a down-turn, was amazing! I've grown very attached to our moms and their children. I know some will be moving soon, but alas it's just another change.
Now, the most recent change is the addition of a new instructor, Ariel Harper. She has already been a breath of fresh air, leading imaginative classes and keeping the kiddos and moms equally happy. Ariel will take over leading the morning Stroller Strides class mid-January, when I will return my focus to Body Back and the evening Stroller Strides classes.
What will we see change in 2014? Only time will tell, but you can bet it will be AMAZING!!
